Jeff Pekar earned his Juris Doctor from West Virginia University College of Law in 2006, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board. He also holds a Bachelor of Science from West Virginia University, graduating magna cum laude in 2003 with a major in Sports Management. Shortly after law school, Jeff visited family and friends in Florida, fell in love with the state, and made the Tampa Bay area his professional home—where he has practiced law ever since.
Twelve years ago, Jeff founded Pekar Law and focused on helping homeowners, small business owners, and contractors with property insurance claims, including complex sinkhole, fire, and hurricane claims.
Jeff’s commitment to excellence has been widely recognized. He was initially named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine in 2013 and 2014 and has been selected to Super Lawyers for Insurance Coverage every year from 2019 through 2025.
Jeff is able to practice throughout Florida, as well as in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida. He is an active member of The Florida Bar.
